am part of the Brevard County raw food community in Florida. Located on the East Coast, the so named "Space Coast" (got its name from the NASA shuttles at the Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral) is a blooming raw food community.

People here are down to earth, like to be close to the ocean and have a growing sense for taking care of their health, the environment and recycling. This area offers a great opportunity for small businesses to start from scratch or to relocate their existing business in Florida.

Health Food Restaurants And Cafes

Some of the best raw food restaurants in Brevard County are the A-Live & Healthy Raw Eatery and Juice Bar that offers a full, gourmet raw vegan menu and fresh juices, and the Appleseed Health Foods Cafe , home of the "7-Day Guided Juice Feast". Organic juices are made to order. Choose from a variety of raw items on cafe menu or prepared in a cooler to go.

Not serving 100% raw food dishes but vegetarian meals, the Healthy Garden Vegetarian Restaurant is located at 4100 N. Wickham Road, # 106, in Melbourne, Florida, offers fresh prepared dishes with meat substitutes and high quality brown rice. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner.

Raw Food Delivery Services

To order food online, check out the delivery service from Greens and Things Delivered. No contract is necessary. You can choose frequency. 10 - 17 different types of fruits and veggies are available.
A new delivery service in town is Lily's Organic Produce.com. Their slogan is "Bringing fresh organic produce to your community at wholesale prices!" For $30, you can receive a middle size organic produce box. The larger organic produce box is for $45 available. 1 doz free roaming organic eggs can be ordered for $3.25. The order has to be received on Monday morning for pick-up on Tuesday.

Raw Food Community Center

Check out Happy Healthy Human. Jason Santini offers living foods programs including diet plans of raw living, organic food boxes , and worm bins and grow boxes. Food boxes have to be ordering in by Sunday 9 pm.
Pickup is the following Tuesday, 3 - 7 pm, at his "Happy Healthy Human Community Life Center" in Brevard County, Florida. Food boxes for $50 and $30, veggie boxes, fruit boxes,extras and green smoothie packs are available.

The Nature's Market Health Foods Store" , Cafe, Juice Bar & Bakery, is located inside the Melbourne's natural health superstore. They have great organic salads, starting with $5.99 and green smoothies.
You can also get organic sandwiches and wraps like the sprouts & avocado specialty sandwich for $5.49 or the vegan veggie wrap for $5.49.

Raw Diet For Dogs And Other Animals

Food Coops

Sunseed Food Co-op is located in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Sunseed Food is a natural food market with a large selection of certified organic produce by offering coop memberships.
This food coop in Brevard County offers annual memberships that help you to save product costs. The membership per household is $50/annual. If you are seventy years or older, you can join for free. The membership includes four hours of volunteer time per month by saving 10% and receiving special member deals.

One of the greatest food coops I know is the White Rabbit CSA. The "White Rabbit Acres" Organic Farm is located in Brevard County's neighbor county Indian River County, Florida, USA.

It reminds me a lot of the German farmers where you find a sign "Fresh Eggs, 2 Euro" at the farmers fence with fresh eggs in boxes and a can for the money next to it. You put the money in the can and take the eggs you need. Isn't that great?!

Another food coop right next door to White Rabbit Acres is Osceola Organic Farms at 700 Indian Lilae Rd in Vero Beach, FL 32963.
